Simone.

One of my favorite artists is Simone de Beauvoir, who was an feminist intellectual, existencialist philosopher writer, political activist, feminist and social theorist. Apart from her text about philosophy, Simone didn’t consider herself a philosopher; her work cover topics like literary creation, the progress of left-wing politics before and after de Second War, and about the pain and the perception of the “self”. Her novels and essays are considerer biographic work, a lot of them describe her life with Jean Paul Sartre and the way that they perceived the love and how they lived consider that. Other works are an exhaustive analysis about the play of women and the construction of her role in society, focus in the marginalization that they were victims in those years.  Her work is extremely revealing in her life and epoch. She was very intelligent, and courageous, because has to disassociate oneself from her family, religion and the social rules that was impose. To me, Simone is one of the most important figures because I admire her and share many of her ideas.

“The man is not a rock and neither a plant, and he cannot excuse oneself for his mere present in the world. The man is a man only because his negation of being passive, for the impulse that project him since the present to the future and direct him to thinks with the purpose of dominate and give them form. For the man, exist mean restructure the existence. Live is the willpower of live.” Simone de Beauvoir.

Holidays.

When I think about my favorite’s holidays, I remember immediately of my vacations in Valparaiso and in Bolivia.

The first ones were special to me because I went there with my friend Paula. This travel was in January 2010. We decide to go to Valparaiso. We spend there for a month, in Cerro Concepción; the place where we stayed is called Museo al Cielo Abierto, which consist in a complex of houses with beautiful murals made by famous chilean artists. Staying there, we walk a lot. To me, this hill is one of the most beautiful places in Valparaiso: a lot of colors and little passages streets to know. The most amazing thing is that you never finish knowing all places. These holidays are specials to me because I meet great people and they were my family in that moment.

The other vacations were very different. I went with my boyfriend to Bolivia, which is really an amazing country. When I got there, I fell in love immediately. We went to Oruro, Uyuni, Potosí, La Paz, , Sucre, Coroico, Copacabana, Isla del Sol and Tiwanaku. Everything was beautiful; every place was a little adventure. How I wrote before, to me Bolivia is very special because is a mixture of native costumes, smells, colors… in a few hours you can see totally different landscapes. Also is very cheap, so you can do a lot of things and don’t worry about your money.  We drank a lot of exotic fruit juice, I still miss the tumbo juice..

.-

Hi guys.

Today i am going to talk about the social networks, the most used way to communicate in the last time. When I decided to create a Facebook account, was principally to knowing about my friends; one of them went to Indonesia for five years, and the other one live in Brasil. The phone calls were too expensive, besides it was complicate to match about the time facts. Hence, i decided take part of this platform for knowing about their lives.. look their photos and know a little about the details of their everyday. Perhaps it will be impersonal, but it were the only way to be closer.

In my page I post, mostly, photos, news and videos. But I have special careful in not to publish personal things about people who don't participate in Facebook, because i don't like to involve neither to make public the people's life if they don't make it by own initiative.

Another platform I used is Tumblr. Although, you can't talk directly to other people, you can share all kind of images with people around the world.

Welcome to Coroico.

Hi Everybody.

Thinking about my first semester on this year, I remember immediatly of my vacations in Bolivia. I also made related activities with my career, like work in the American Popular Art Museum in the GAM, and profundize in topics who interest me.

This trip was planned for years, but I could never realize. Finally, the last year we decided to go with my boyfriend, so we buy the tickets to start the dreamed trip. Been there I realized the dramatic differences between Chile and Bolivia, we are so close, yet so far at once... Certain dignity and respect for their roots.

We toured much of the country, finding unforgettable people, and landscapes really beautiful. The place I most liked it calls Coroico, and it is a little town in the middle of the nowhere, with a semitropical weather. It was so different from what I usually see... A lot of green, exotic fruits, giant flowers. And most of all, a lot of happy people sharing in the town square.
